The Organize Florida Education Fund is pleased to invite you to our Path to Power Training!
The Organize Florida Education Fund is committed to mobilizing and training the next generation of grassroots organizers and leaders in low-to-moderate-income communities across Florida. With a vision to become critically engaged in the political system in order to create a more equitable society, we are pleased to announce the launch of Path to Power!
Created by a coalition of seven various organizations statewide, this free innovative and interactive training will equip you with knowledge about ideology and mass incarceration in Florida, and how to take action. In addition, this training will allow you to connect to our current political climate, strategize education, and the skills needed to organize actions around Rights Restoration and other important campaigns.
This one-day training is completely free and will only be accepting 25 to 30 participants at each of our sessions. Training will be held in both the Central Florida and Tampa Bay regions.
During the training, you’ll become knowledgeable about Florida’s real history of mass incarceration, Dominant Triangle Ideology and the Legion of Doom and State Wide Alignment Group’s (SWAG) Ideology, as well as Rights Restoration Campaign call to action.
So don’t wait! Mark your calendars for Orlando’s Path to Power training on October 20 from 9 AM – 5 PM and for Tampa’s Path to Power training on November 17, 2018 from 9 AM – 5 PM. Exact locations for both regions will be announced at a later date.
