EVA Helps Lead National Justice Discussion on Men & Boys of Color

On December 7, 2016, in Washington, D.C., EVA Executive Director Henry A. J. Ramos joined 50 of the nation’s leading human services and family advocates at a National Human Services Assembly gathering to discuss the rights and opportunities of men and boys of color in America.

Ramos helped to open the gathering with formal remarks on “Community, Common Ground, and Context.” Other headline speakers and participants included Blair Taylor, CEO of the White House Initiative My Brother’s Keeper Alliance; Shawn Dove of the Campaign for Black Male Achievement; and W. Wilson Goode, former mayor of the City of Philadelphia, PA.

The gathering identified essential next stage policy and practice innovations to advance the life prospects and success of males of color and their families across the nation through expanded education, training and employment opportunities in private industry and the independent sector.
